The learning curve is pretty short. We teach people to how to use it in our shipping department in just a few minutes. Then it is a matter of letting them try it a few times to get a feel for how it works. The best thing to do is practice making a simple seal a few times then move on to removing the excess end after that. All it takes is a few times to get the feel for how the sealer and the material react to each other.

Q

Can these be shipped through the U.S. Post Office and with UPS?
A

Absolutely ! The post office has given complete approval to use these poly bags with them as well as UPS. We have shipped thousands upon thousands with excellent results.

Q
Is there anything special I need to have to use the Pac-n-Seal system?
A
There are no special requirements to get started using our system. The sealer plugs into any ordinary household outlet and is ready to go. All you need is a flat surface to set the sealer on and your ready to go.
When the Pac-n-seal system arrives, it is ready to start packing. The only other things you need are your personal choice of padding for your particular item and the address label.

The poly bags we offer and use ourselves are clear making it no problem at all to see the address and scan any bar codes used for delivery confirmation or tracking.

Q
Do you recommend having any extra parts for the system just in case?
A
The sealer comes with an element kit included. The kit contains spare heating elements, teflon tape to go under the element and the teflon cover for the top of the element. In our experience with the system, the main item to have on hand is the teflon top cover. Your volume and how you use the sealer will determine the life of the parts. Sealing things other than the poly bag will reduce the life of the teflon cover. Our shipping department uses the sealer to seal the ends of the 1/8" foam we wrap our books in. This is done because it looks so much better than if it were taped or stapled shut and is easier for the customer to open when it arrives. We ship several hundred books per week and have to replace the teflon cover about every 3 to 4 weeks. The cost of one cover is not bad when you consider the cost of using tape instead and then how the package looks to the customer. We would recommend having several spare teflon covers on hand. They are so easy to replace as well.
