Vacuum Sealer Set Up And Trial Run How To
|
The following is a general overview of how to properly prepare your vacuum sealer machine to be put to work. While there are many different typres of vacuum sealers on the market, this should serve to give a good outline for most machines.
Obtaining The Proper Seal
It may be necessary to may ajustments to the timer settings depending on how the trial runs on your vacuum pouches come out.
- 1. Turn Power on to vacuum sealer.
- 2. Place an empty vacuum bag or pouch around the nozzle. This MUST always be done to prevent the nozzle from pulling across the silicon rubber and causing damage.
- 3. Depress the foot switch(or other means depending on the type of vacuum sealer you have)until the jaws close and the vacuum starts, then release.
- 4. After the units jaws have opened, check the seal as you remove the bag from the machine.
- If the seal was too hot and deforms as it is removed, turn down
the seal time.
- If the bag is not fully and properly sealed, increase the seal time.
- 5. Adjustments should be made in no more 1/4 second increments and the dwell time should always be at least 2 times what the seal time is.

Obtaining The Proper Vacuum Timing
Once you have established a good seal on your vacuum bag, it's time to correctly set the vacuum timing.
- 1. For this you will need a vacuum bag with your product inside.
- 2. Place the bag over the nozzle andstart the cycle.
- 3. Observe what happens all through and after the vacuum-seal cycle.
- 4. If you need more vacuum set the vacuum timer to a higher setting.
If less is needed to do a good job then shorten the timer setting.
- 5. Continue this process until you acheived the optimum outcome for your product.
